T. Scott Brisendine
Mr. Brisendine, a life long resident of Northern Virginia, attended Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia where he graduated cum laude. He completed his education at the Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America where he earned his law degree in 1993.
Mr. Brisendine completed a clerkship in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia where he clerked for the Honorable Stephanie Duncan-Peters. After his clerkship, Mr. Brisendine took a position as an Assistant Public Defender first for the County of Fairfax, Virginia and then with the City of Roanoke. During this time period, Mr. Brisendine represented countless defendants charged with various misdemeanor and felony charges ranging from reckless driving to murder, rape and robbery in the General District, Juvenile and Domestic Relations, and Circuit Courts.
Upon leaving public service Mr. Brisendine practiced as a solo practitioner before joining the law firm of Martin, Arif, Petrovich and Walsh in Springfield, Virginia. During that time, Mr. Brisendine assisted in the defense of Lee Boyd Malvo, the juvenile member of the D.C. snipers.
In addition to representation of clients in State Courts, Mr. Brisendine has also developed an extensive practice of exemplary representation of clients charged with traffic and criminal offenses in Federal Court.
